Rolex Hulk – Has It Lost Its Strength in the Watch Market?!

On this video, I’m gonna be discussing if
the mighty Hulk has finally lost its strength in the watch market. This video is sponsored by Ferrari of Fort
Lauderdale. They have the largest Ferrari dealership in
the nation, so whether you’re looking to purchase your first Ferrari or join the Ferrari Challenge
team, contact them today or their sister location, Ferrari of Long Island, in the link below. [opening music] So it’s been a very interesting year 2019
in the watch market. We saw these Hulks go all the way up to $15,500. It’s crazy to me. I mean, I had one of these watches myself
three years ago and I almost had to give it away at $7,500. They just didn’t sell. Guys were coming to buy it and their wives
would tell tell, “I don’t like it cuz it’s all green!” I mean, it’s one of those watches that in
theory when you would see it in the display case if you didn’t like it, you just kind
of would be like, “Meh,” but however, when you try it on and you put it on your
wrist, it gives you a whole different feel about it, but that’s when that watch was really
just a thousand dollars more than the standard Submariner. This year we’ve seen the prices go crazy! Discontinued, special edition, the Hulk. It’s been nuts! So the question is has it finally lost its
strength? I would definitely say that the hype has simmered
down a bit. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that the market
with the Hulk is crashing, but I would say that it’s simmered down a little bit from
$15,000 down to the $13,000 $14,000 range. I for one have not been able to sell a single
one at over $14,000. They just, the buyers are not there. They’re not there. The market price might be set there because
that’s just what it is, you know? They’ve been out there going a ton of money
for the last eight months. I think whoever bought one at that price is
still fine. I don’t think that it’s a big deal. I think the problem is the guys that were
selling them unworn for $16,000, $17,000. I mean, if you wanna buy it and put it away
stickered, more power to you! But, I would say that now coming into the
fall of 2019, the Hulk has died down a little bit. I don’t expect to see the crash in prices
that occurred in the summer with the Nautiluses. That’s not the case with this. The thing is is that when they were at the
strongest point in the mid teems or the upper teens, people were asking if it was going
to continue to rise. That is what I don’t see happening. I think that they’re gonna be pretty safe
and steady in the low teens, anywhere from $13,000 or $14,000, I think that’s where they’re
gonna end up being. There isn’t a lot of them out there, and several
people gobbled them up in the market and they just pretty much stashed them away, so there’s
not many out there. I feel like there’s obviously gonna be way
other pieces that are gonna be burned first before the Hulk, so the question will still
remain and we’ll be having to see, can it regain and hold its strength? Now, I for one totally love this watch. I think that I’ve always liked it all green. Guys have always said, “Man, but it’s all
green, you know? I don’t know if I could match with everything.” Look, everybody’s got their different style. I’m not one of those that everything has to
match like that. I like the green. It stands out. It looks special. I’ve liked the green way before green became
the new blue. It’s just always stood out different, just
like the GMT yellow gold with the green dial, I liked the green dial better. It just looks good, you know? So I’ve always like this watch and I kind
of regret selling mine. This is besides the whole hype that they went
up. Just because I like the watch, imagine you
had it. You got rid of it for $7,000 and now you can’t
really replace that. You gotta pay double that, so that’s the only
regret that I do have, is that I like it. I want it in the stable and I would have to
like really cough up some coins for it at at the moment. So did the Hulk finally lose its strength? No! I think the pre-workout just wore out. So feel to comment below how you feel about
the Hulk and its state in the watch market. And don’t forget to hit the notifications
bell till it looks like this. And if you liked this video, please like and

  1. prices simmered because there was talk of it being discontinued and it didn’t happen. Hulk goes bye bye, prices go sky high

  2. I want one soooo bad but I don’t know if I’m ready to pay 13-14 for it.. beautiful watch & great investment piece in my opinion

  3. I don’t like the Hulk and I do like some color in a watch. I like the Gold Rolex Datejust with the olive green dial. It’s all a matter of opinion though.

  4. The hulk has ran its course. It’s just a sub that’s green. I’d skip the hulk and put the money towards a sky dweller.

  5. I have a Hulk and my plan next is to get a GMT II Gold Green or a Daytona Gold Green.. Have not decided which to get yet..Which would you get señor?

  6. Don't believe the manufactured hype with Rolex's these days. My buddy picked up a daydate 40 with the "special" green dial and a hulk brand new both in sealed caskets for 40k. He did end up selling the hulk for 14.3k but it was very hard for him to move it. Stop paying over sticker for these watches people, at the end of the day it's still only a steel Rolex that punches very lightly in the watch game. At list price I'd say yes, they're definitely worth it but remember that the Batman and Hulk are overrated, overpriced entry level steel luxury watches, me personally I'd rather pony up a couple extra dollars and pick up a steel AP which is a much better timepiece by a much more prestigious brand 🤷

  7. I recently bought a 2018 hulk in new condition that I had to pay 14k for, with box, card and reciept. I dont think I will be making money from it, but that’s not why I bought it. I bought it because I wanted to wear it. And as long as I dont lose to much on it in a couple of years or so. Im more than pleased. 🍀

  8. From a selfish position I hope Hulks are losing their hype. Because I don’t have one and I’m waiting for the bubble to burst a bit.

  9. Cool watch but more of a smurf guy. Non the less beautiful watch and I think it's gonna drop a lil bit to say 12 but that's it.

  10. I COULD HAVE BOUGHT THE HULK BUT TOOK THE BLACK!!
ONE OF MY GREATEST PHUCKIN MISTAKES OF MY WATCHLIFE.
AS ALWAYS WATCH YOUR STYLE HERMANO!!

  11. I think that if you can get it at retail then it’s an excellent purchase but I would not pay over retail for one. Beautiful watch.

  12. Another great video Bro and thanks for keeping us informed. I love the Hulk, not too many appealing green faces on the market. A little steep, but quality is there.

  13. I SEE 80 TO OVER 100 ON EBAY AT ANY GIVEN TIME. VERY VERY FEW, IF ANY ARE SELLING. I SEE THEM GET RELISTED. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A YEAR NOW. HOPING TO BE THAT PERSON WHO CAN GET ONE AT MY A.D.

  14. With all the unrest in HK and the link to many Rolex purchases across the board there it’s a hard read on prices at the moment.

  15. If the un-availability of Rolex sports models stays the way it is then the hulk will still command the prices asked, the flip side is if Rolex sports become much, much more available at the AD then all the models including the hulk will tank, meaning rrp or just over. It is like playing the futures or housing market. If you are in this game to buy, keep and flip later on to make a living then you need big stones.

  16. GREAT VIDEO.LOVE THIS WATCH COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU.DID NOT HAVE THAT MUCH INTEREST UNTIL I SAW ONE AND HELD IT.HAD TO HAVE ONE!WAS MY FAVORITE UNTIL I GOT MY HANDS ON A SKY DWELLER

  17. I think you are spot on with this. We went to see our AD last week and he was wearing the Hulk. My wife’s first comments (in private), is she disliked the colour. No matter what we say, our partners do have an influence on what we buy.

  18. The Hulk its one of the gratest Rolex watches. Thanks Erik. And please, we are wating for the John Mayer watch colletion review.

  19. you always see black stainless steel subs or 2 tones both blue + yellow+ white gold. i’d rather pay over for a hulk.

  20. I don't think the Hulk has lost it, however, I predict they will come out with a Hulk Submariner no date with the new movement for Baselworld 2020. Le't see what happens.

  21. Dealer contacted me today, i did an order 2 months ago and was surprised it actually arrived 😍 cant wait to pick it up tomorrow. Thank you for confirming my love for it…

  22. Christmas is coming watch the prices of all the steel Rolex start to creep up 500. here a grand there. It's the way it is.

  23. The Hulk is a monster watch. There is something very special about it. One day if/when this gets discontinued, hold on tight! Permanent spot in the collection. Great video man!
