Welcome to Montredo! Today we want to show you the Omega Aquaterra. As always: if you’re looking for your next watch, visit us at Montredo.com don’t forget to leave a thumbs-up and subscribe to our channel. There are watches that I find to be really, really horrible. But today we’re not reviewing any of these. Today we have for you the absolutely beautiful Omega Seamaster Aquaterra, a seriously great watch that can be worn at almost every occasion. Here we have the version with 41mm case diameter, blue dial and the slightly more eyecatching light blue seconds hand, which I personally think is the most beautiful configuration of this line, also featuring a rubber band. This does make the watch a lot more sporty-looking of course, it is also available with a leather strap or steel bracelet. The steel bracelet is in my opinion the nicest version, just because I’m a fan of steel and always keep saying: if you have a choice in straps during your purchase always go for the bracelet, as you can always get a leather or rubber strap later on. This watch really is something special, it features Omega’s state of the art Co-axial 8900 caliber, the newest and best that you can get from Omega.
The watch is resistant to magnetism up to 15,000 gauss. This means that unless you work in a field that employs extremely powerful industrial
magnets, then you won’t have to worry about the typical issues with magnet fields, that you might usually have, like having to avoid putting the watch on your speakers or other electronics, there you can really relax. Your watch will be protected, it has a silicon spring, which is also one of the reasons it’s so resistant to magnetism. The watch comes in two sizes, 41 and 38mm.
The case has this wonderful, highly polished bezel. Which is kind of prone to scratching of course but I really like it anyway.
The lugs are also beautifully done in typical Omega style, my personal
highlight really is the entirety of the case but the dial is also quite special with its horizontal lines and their texture
which are reminiscent of the teak floors on yachts which of course matches the maritime character of the Aquaterra line just like the name implies: water, sailing, maritime, beaches, drinking champagne on the yacht and all that stuff, that’s what this watch reflects quite well, it’s indeed really a quite cosmopolitan, beautiful watch that you can wear almost every day. Personally I would get the 38mm on a steel bracelet, because I think it is the most elegant and versatile of the bunch. The one with rubber strap and 41mm case that we have here would be the sporty end of the line. So if your wrist is on the girthy side, maybe if you’re just a bigger guy, or you want to have a really sporty watch then this one is probably the best configuration for you. I hope I was able to pique your curiosity for this really nice Seamaster Aquaterra.
