  1. Maybe a way to break the teacher's union and their hold on property taxes. No schools, no unions, no property taxes. Let them find another way to pay their salaries.

  2. I always felt that Homeschooling was better. Kids aren't distracted by other classmates and they don't have to worry about being bullied or causing unwanted pregnancies or even going to school feeling like you gotta be best dressed everyday while under pressure to feel this way. Kids can also keep their opinions to themselves and not spread rumors. So much to get from homeschooling.

  3. New Order
    they announced it in the economist
    All this has been planned.
    They want to break the world economy.
    Evil hands behind this.

  4. I wonder how this would work out without the fear of COVID-19, would it improve the educational system in terms of better teachers and non-existent class distractions? Perhaps we could see a new way to have public education without the need for physical structures? This would put an end to bullies but could have issues with social interaction learning.

  5. The media create chaos, over a virus that's not as dangerous as the common flu virus..

  6. For homeschoolers like us who have chosen to live on one income with fewer luxuries and lower bills, it’s just another day. What’s your priority?

  7. Corrupted DEMs have done absolutely nothing for the American. Pelosi and Schumer must be sent to their boss, China.

  8. This is a good time to find solace in the words of Joseph Rudyard Kipling:

    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
    Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

    If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with triumph and disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
    And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch;
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds' worth of distance run—
    Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
    And [you should survive the coronavirus], my son

    Don't close elementary or primary schools because teens & infants aren't really dying & many caretakers are grandparents (highest risk group) & kids won't stay home anyway. So it's best to keep them confined at school & mask the teachers!

  10. No one mentioned the toll on Grandmas and Grandpas (aunts/uncles, siblings, cousins, etc.) who are putting in the 9 to 5 mentoring and monitoring.

  11. ya.. poor kids cannot be part of mass incident.. home schooling without bullies and others interrupting..
    this is the 21st century.. smoke detectors can dial 911.. CO2 detectors.. nanny cams you can keep eye on them and speak to them from afar.
    emergency personnel can respond to your home just as quickly as they could a school.
    I cannot see a downside to ending teacher salaries, expense of school maintenance, building new schools, busing.. save billions if you taught them on laptops from now on

  12. Schools closed.
    Grocery stores open.
    Concerts open.
    Political rallys open.
    Every social setting possible open.
    Ya…. theyll still be getting it.

  13. The way school should be in the first place.

    Homeschool your kids, folks.

    Don’t let the State brainwash and indoctrinate them.

    Not to mention the fact that schools are breeding grounds for diseases.

  14. I wonder if more parents may end up switching to homeschooling after this. There's a lot of stress in the school system. The children might find a more relaxed learning environment at home.

  15. All UC school remain open some of those UC school in high risk area. Those school keeps email students that everything is low risk and class still grade attendance. What a joke Nice job CDC
